Bankruptcies pronounced by Dutch courts by type of bankrupt, activity and region (from 11-03-2019)

This data design of the statistics on pronounced bankruptcies contains all bankruptcies that have been pronounced by the court in the Netherlands. It contains bankruptcies of natural persons, sole proprietorships, companies and institutions. The bankruptcies of foreign legal entities pronounced in the Netherlands are also included. For each bankruptcy, the ruling and, if applicable, termination date of the bankruptcy proceedings is included. Data on the bankrupt self are also available, such as business activity, type of bankrupt, legal person, postal code of residence or business address, Chamber of Commerce number and (in the case of natural persons and sole proprietors) the date of birth. Each bankruptcy occurs once, in the month in which the bankruptcy ruling was made. There is no correction for bankruptcy claims that will be destroyed at a later stage. In the Statline tables, the data are broken down by branches and by region & #039;s. The data are compiled and published on a monthly basis, i.e.: 1 – Pronounced bankruptcies; key figures; (The Netherlands total broken down by type of bankrupt) 2 – Pronounced bankruptcies; private individuals (including sole proprietors); (Regional figures broken down by type of bankrupt) 3 – Pronounced bankruptcies; companies/institutions (including sole proprietors); (Regional figures broken down by branches). Figures are for one month provisional, a month closer provisional and in the following month final. This means that the figures for month 1 are final upon publication of month 3. The records in these files are encrypted. All records relevant to bankruptcy statistics are recorded in a database. Where possible, errors, inconsistencies, etc. in the records are corrected by the processing program. After the automated corrections, there are still messages that need to be viewed and corrected manually. For this purpose, and if necessary, contact the relevant court. The publication of the number of bankruptcies is a count from the database of the month in question. The first publication concerns preliminary figures. Figures for a reporting month can be adjusted as a result of reports that have been met in the following month. In the following month, if necessary, the figures shall be revised again and at the same time definitively declared. Confidentiality: As far as confidentiality is concerned, only Article 37.3 of the CBS Act applies. Explanatory memorandum of the CBS Act: The publication should not be able to derive recognisable data from individual respondents. This means that the publications may not contain identifiable data. This data may also not be traced using other CBS publications. ### Population All bankruptcies pronounced in the Netherlands since January 2008 (including the bankruptcies of foreign legal entities pronounced in the Netherlands).
