Care living spaces (from 01-01-2018)

This is an enrichment file of the residential and non-residential stock on 1 January and contains information whether a residential object (residential or non-residential) concerns a care living space. Care living spaces are residential objects where institutional households live that need care. These include nursing homes, mental health institutions, forensic centres and institutions for the mentally, physically and sensoryly handicapped. The following sources have been used to determine care living spaces. - BAG: vbo's of all homes and non-residential properties in stock with information about the vbo and about the building to which the vbo belongs. This file forms the basis. - Institutional households (ihh): vbo-id with type of care institution, selection of type 1 (care and nursing homes) and type 2 (other care institutions). - Corporation file (AW): address of housing corporations with residential units. - BRP: Number of inhabitants per VBO. - Property file: vbo's of owner-occupied houses. The most important decision rules to determine whether a residential object is a care living space are as follows: 1. 75% or more of the residents in the building belong to an institutional household or belong to an intramural unit according to the corporation file. Of these, the following residential objects in the building belong to care living spaces: residence object in the building is inhabited by an institutional household or residence object is inhabited and is an intramural unit or residence object in the building is uninhabited but does have a residential function in the BAG. 2. Less than 75% of the residents in the building belong to an institutional household or belong to an intramural unit according to the corporation file. Of these, the following residences belong to care living spaces: residential object in the property is inhabited by an institutional household or residential object is inhabited and is an intramural unit. 3. Residence object has a healthcare and residential function in the BAG. Based on the many analyses and research on the data, it appears that the method works well and the target population - care living spaces - is well demarcated. There is still a grey area. These include, for example, youth institutions and protected housing, as far as sensitive information is concerned. Many of these settings can be found in the population, but it is not excluded that a part is missing. On the other hand, lean-on dwellings and service flats are not part of the population (they are independent dwellings), but it may happen that - despite additional decision-making rules - they have in some cases ended up in the population. ### Population All residential objects (with stock type = 1 or 2 and INSTALLATION = 1) at the reference point 1 January in the BAG with a unique Rinobject number that fall under the definition of a care living space. Population falls within the stock of residential objects according to the BAG, as shown by the component LEVCYCLWOONNIETWOONBUSVYYYYMMVV. In the file, the variables Care property class and Care type property are present on the combined key SOORTOBJECTNUMBER and RINOBJECTNUMBER. Care living spaces are residential objects where institutional households live that need care. These include nursing homes, mental health institutions, forensic centres and institutions for the mentally, physically and sensoryly handicapped. Residential objects in an institution or residential initiative for protected living also belong to care living spaces. These are therefore not objects of residence in institutions for addiction care and homeless shelters, boarding schools, monasteries, prisons, barracks and asylum seekers centres where institutional households live. A care living space consists of several independent spaces that together form an independent home. There are several people living there who are (commercially) provided with daily necessities and care. An adjoining home is an independent home and is not a care living space.
