Date of death of persons registered in the population registers of the Caribbean Netherlands, coordinated (from 01-01-2009)

Contains the date of death of all persons who have died since 1 January 2009 and who were registered in the PIVA at the date of death. The file is part of CBS’s System of Social Statistical Files (SSB). PIVA: Personal information provided by the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. The islands of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (Caribbean Netherlands) have been part of the Dutch state system since 10 October 2010. In the Caribbean Netherlands, an automated population administration is maintained – following the example of the municipal population administration in the Netherlands – in which each registered data is recorded on a personal list. Since 10 October 2010, the Caribbean Netherlands has been obliged to provide data to government bodies outside the public sector body. The information regarding the date of death may vary by version. In a later version, new known information may have been added that replaces previous information. The file can basically be used to make counts. The results may differ slightly from the numbers published by Team Demography on StatLine because: — all changes relating to past messages, which have become known in a later year, are also taken into account in older years; — messages fulfilled within demographic statistics are not always counted in the year of event but in the year of receipt.
