Persons with a Dutch background, including children of second generation parents with a migration background, 1 January (from 01-01-2000)

This analysis file contains all persons with a Dutch background including the children of second generation parents with a migrant background (persons of whom both parents were born in the Netherlands and of whom at least one of the two parents is of the second generation). With this file, further analyses can be done on children of second generation parents, sometimes referred to as the third generation. More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology For persons with a Dutch background who belong to the population of the Netherlands at 1 January JJJJ, the age is determined at the level moment and the generation and origin of their parents. Based on the generation of parents, it is determined whether the person is a child of second generation parent(s) with a migration background. Based on the origin of the parents, a derived group of origin is assigned, unequal to the Netherlands, to persons who can be characterised as children of the second generation.
