Prodcom; sales; industrial products by product group (from 03-09-2013)

Prodcom statistics are mandatory annual European statistics to be supplied to Eurostat in accordance with the Prodcom claim. Within the European statistics system, PRODCOM statistics map industrial production by product (category) within the European Community. The PRODCOM survey covers the activities of mineral extraction and industry. The products have relations with production actually established in the territory of the Netherlands. Companies are asked about the self-manufactured production at a detailed goods level (8-digit and in some cases 10-digit). In combination with data from international trade, Prodcom statistics enable us to determine the size of the internal market for each product. Sample designing and drawing: for the sample, the Prodcom Regulation contains two requirements. (a) the figures represent at least 90 % of national production per class of NACE Rev. 2 and (b) the sample includes all enterprises employing at least 20 persons. 2. Designs Dutch Prodcom list & derived products. 3. Design and observe questionnaire. 4. Read and process the response in the Perceiving Table. 5. Microfinishing: Assigning blank records 6. Completion of regular records: for example, it checks whether the sales value of a Prodcom differs by more than 30% from last year, and whether the sum of all individual Prodcom values of the BE corresponds to the declared total turnover. 7. Imputeren: Imputation means that a value and/or quantity is estimated based on reference data, for example KS data or T-1 data. 8. Analyze at Prodcom level: When analyzing, top-down at the Prodcom code level is checked whether the quality of the Prodcom figures is sufficient or not. If a Prodcom is of insufficient quality, or the Prodcom gives a notable change compared to previous years, it can be investigated at a micro level where the (possible) problem is caused. 9. Archiving, post-processing, publishing and securing: this process consists of two branches, both of which must be carried out before the process can be completed: EuroStat and Statline. ### Population The sample figures shall represent at least 90% of the national production per class of NACE Rev. 2(4-digit SBI) and the sample shall include all enterprises with at least 20 employees.
