Registrations in the register of Occupations in Health Care (BIG-register) (01-01-2020 - 30-01-2024)

This file contains data from the Register of Occupations in the Health Care (BIG-register) of the CIBG. The CIBG is an implementing organisation of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. The BIG register is kept on the basis of the law of the same name. The BIG Act specifies medical practices that cannot be carried out by everyone. These medical practices are reserved for those who have a specific medical profession. These medical professions have titles that are legally protected, such as: GP, physiotherapist, dentist, medical specialist, etc. In order to carry out this profession, one must first have successfully completed the required training and then be registered in the BIG register. In 1997, a small group of doctors enrolled and in 1998 all other professions followed, with the exception of healthcare psychologos (GZ psychologists). The GZ psychologists have registered themselves in the BIG register since 1999. ### Population Registrations of persons who under the BIG Act have ever had the right or still have the right to exercise one or more of the 8 medical professions listed therein in the Netherlands with all associated rights and obligations.
