Supply and disposal of manure by type of manure and manure characteristic (01-01-2013-31-12-2013)

The figures include the import and export of animal manure and the supply and disposal of livestock manure from manure processors. Manure processing consists mainly of the drying and granulation of poultry manure, the production of substrate for mushroom cultivation from horse and poultry manure, calf fermentation purification and combustion of manure. Manure fermentation is not included. Of the manure transfers, the type of manure, the volume and the amount of nitrogen (N), phosphate (P2O5) and potassium (K2O) are given. The Regulatory Service collects this data in the context of the manure policy. The data are based on the information of Animal Manure (VDM) transport tickets which must be drawn up when transporting livestock manure. ### Population The target population of the agricultural census: all companies producing agricultural products for the market, with its principal place of business in the Netherlands, with a minimum economic size of NSO 3000 (Dutch Standard Production).
