Traffic performance of passenger cars with data on vehicle-kilometres travelled. (from 01-01-2012)

Traffic performance in vehicle kilometres of passenger car & #039;s per year with a Dutch registration number. It concerns only mileage data of vehicles owned by a natural person.vehicles owned by companies (such as leaseauto &s) are not included in this file. From the register of the RDW (Road Traffic Service), the registration numbers of the total population are enriched with odometer readings and associated registration dates. Based on the differences between odometer readings of two consecutive level data, the kilometres travelled for the period between the level data were calculated. This calculates year kilometrages for all vehicles. These annual kilometrages are used to estimate, among other things, the traffic performance of passenger cars and #039;s. More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology Secondary observation using the registers of the Road Traffic Service (RDW) odometer readings from 2012 onwards comes from the system of online registration of the (RDW) and for the years 2010 and 2011 the odometer readings from a sample from National Auto Pass (NAP) Only persons who have been validated may use the file for confidentiality purposes. ### Population All passenger cars registered in the Netherlands with a valid Dutch registration number that are admitted to traffic on public roads during (part of) the reporting year, including passenger cars & cars that belong to the company stock in (part of) the year and passenger cars and #039;s that operate only part of the year on the road network, mainly new or imported vehicles and vehicles that have been demolished or exported during the year. The primary key registration number and tax number are encrypted to RINKENTEKEN and RINPERSOON.
