Engineering Geology Database – atlases of agglomerations (new)

<p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm;"><a href="https://www.pgi.gov.pl/inzynierska/1-geologia-inzynierska/gi-projekty/13168-baza-danych-geologiczno-inzynierskich.html#atlasy_gi"><strong><span style="color:blue;">Geological and engineering atlases of urban agglomerations (new)</span></strong></a> developed or updated after 2017, is the latest collection of digital data on building conditions in Poland. Atlases are based mainly on detailed information obtained from geological and engineering, geotechnical, hydrogeological and reservoir documentation as well as borehole profiles.</p> <p style="margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm;">Atlas maps are a graphical analysis of information obtained from the synthesis of geological and engineering data. The use of digital methods on a huge data resource allows the assessment of geological and engineering conditions, primarily for the purposes of spatial planning and construction. The information contained in the atlases also makes it possible to make decisions related to the design of detailed ground research, minimization of environmental damage and the preparation of forecasts and economic aspects of the investment. The analysis of information layers on geological hazards also enables the development of risk maps.</p> <p> </p>
