Quarterly evolution of hospitalisation rate and mortality rate by region, gender and main diagnosis chapter of ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS Inpatient rate and Mortality rate, considering: * Year and Quarter of discharge; * Region of the Hospital Institution; * gender of the user; * ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS main diagnosis chapter code and description. **Remarks:** Calculated taking into account Ordinance 207/2017, the scope of analysis of Statistics and type of production Internalization. The data result from the clinical coding performed by hospitals in ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS after the patient's discharge, and there may be in some institutions a greater delay in this coding (which may result in a temporary decrease in the reported episodes). Administrative and clinical coding records are the sole responsibility of each hospital institution. The institutions presented correspond to the institutions present on the ACSS Hospital Benchmarking website (Groups B, C, D, E and F, https://benchmarking-acss.min-saúde.pt/BH_Framework/Institutional Group). Main diagnosis ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS refers to the diagnosis that, after the patient's discharge and the full study of the hospitalization episode, is considered (in terms of clinical coding) as the cause of the patient's admission to hospitalization. The clinical coding ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS does not correspond to the classification of causes of death in terms of death certificates.
