Municipal budgets adopted

Municipal budgets are one of the four treasuries of public funding in the Republic of Slovenia. The adopted budgets of municipalities are the basic financial plan of local communities, which defines the planned revenues and the planned use of funds for the implementation of tasks and services for the benefit of the inhabitants. The aggregated data of all Slovenian municipalities are published in accordance with the principle of transparency of public finances and are available for analysis, comparison and use for research and information purposes. Municipal budgets consist of a general part, a special part and a plan of development programmes. The first, the general part of the budget, provides information on how municipalities collect revenues and how they spend them. Who spends the funds and for which programme areas is indicated in a separate section of the budget. As the third part of municipalities' budgets, the Development Programme Plan (DPP) presents individual projects of direct budget users at local level for their entire duration. NRP data is not available in machine-readable format. The published data contains the last adopted and sent budget of the municipality to the web server of MF-OPPrA, which can be the adopted budget or amendments to the adopted budget or supplementary budget. The source of the data is the data of municipalities collected by the Ministry of Finance - Sector for the system of financing local communities on the basis of the Rules on the submission of adopted municipal budgets (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos. 115/07 and 47/09) from 2008 onwards.
