Dataset description

The Register of immovable cultural heritage is the central database of heritage in Slovenia. Since 1991, it has been managed to provide information support for the implementation of heritage protection, and it is also intended for the presentation and research of heritage, as well as for the education, education and development of public awareness of heritage. The description of the heritage unit in the register is the identity card of each unit and contains basic information about it. In addition to descriptive data, it also contains geolocation data. By registering, the heritage unit obtains a unique identification of the heritage - EID (formerly the registration number of the heritage, EŠD), which uniquely identifies the unit and is used in all protection procedures (recording, documentation, promulgation of cultural monuments, protection of heritage in spatial acts, issuing of cultural protection acts, financing and others). A unit of heritage that has lost its heritage features remains recorded in the register, although it is no longer protected in the room, documentary (archival) protection. An initiative for entry in the register can be submitted electronically by an individual with a qualified digital certificate using the application My eHereditary https://ised.gov.si.
