Register of scholarship holders and trainees of the Ministry of Defence

The purpose of the record is to ensure the exercise of the rights and duties of scholarship holders and trainees of the Ministry of Defence or students in practical training at the Ministry of Defence in accordance with Article 20(2) of the Defence Act, the Rules on Scholarships in the Slovenian Armed Forces, the Rules on the Implementation of Practical Training at the Ministry of Defence (Regulation in Preparation), Article 110 of the Civil Servants Act and Article 50(9) of the Service in the Slovenian Armed Forces Act. It enables and plans practical training, regulates accident insurance, payment of a lump sum for health insurance and rewards for completed practical training, conducts the procedure for the approval of practical training, and informs about activities and possibilities of integration into the Slovenian Armed Forces. Types of personal data in the database: • name and surname, • EMŠO, • birth data; • permanent/temporary residence, • ID number, • citizenship; • Tax number; • bank account and bank number, • data on punishment, • information on the security concern or security assessment, • data on medical fitness for the student, • details of the educational establishment he/she is visiting, • year of schooling, • email address • telephone number, • in the case of minors, the name of the parents or legal guardian and their telephone number, • any special features. Storage period: In accordance with the regulations governing documentary and archival material. Upon termination of the duties, the data shall be destroyed by the Commission. For practical training until the end of the training, then the personal data is destroyed with the exception of the name, surname, address of permanent residence and e-mail address, which are kept for five years after the completion of the practical training.
