Eurobarometer 73.2 and 73.3

This Eurobarometer survey performance differs from the standard Eurobarometer indicators. Eurobarometer 73.2 & 73.3 combines answers to the same questions on consumer empowerment and relevant demographic data from surveys 73.2 and 73.3. Respondents first respond about the use of the Internet, the right to return goods, the legality of individual advertisements, the purchase of air tickets and the knowledge of consumer organisations. They are then asked about their habits of shopping online, their knowledge of consumer protection legislation, the positive and negative experiences of shopping, the understanding of frequently asked consumer questions (nutrition value of food products, knowledge of logos, etc.) and whether they are of the opinion that they are well protected as consumers. Respondents also answer about the situation of the household, housing, finances and expenditures, if they can afford meals with meat, chicken, fish or vegetarian equivalent every other day, and if purchases are decided by the respondent or their spouse. The demographic strand includes questions about the respondent’s age, gender, citizenship, marital status, occupation, education, household size, possession of a fixed or mobile phone, financial condition, social situation, computer experience and Internet usage.
