Use of contraception and sex in women in Slovenia, 2011

The starting point of the study is to determine the presence of interrupted sexual intercourse (PSO) as a form of contraception in Slovenia in two theoretical frames, i.e. a medical view of the body and sexuality, and a feminist critique of the medical discourse of contraception. The aim of the task was to investigate and define the role of SSL in the social construction of female and male sexuality, determine its position in Slovenian sexuality to evaluate, from a feminist perspective, its impact on women's sexual reproductive health. The goal was to find out why, despite a number of other methods of contraception, PSO still advised and very often used, and why Slovenian gynecologists _nje still propagate it as a form of contraception. For this purpose, 52 interviews with contraceptive users and 27 interviews with gynaecologists in Slovenia were conducted. Due to the sensitivity of the data in the ADP, we only keep interviews with contraceptive users.
