Madrid Health. Inspections in establishments with an impact on public health

Inspections of establishments with an impact on public health are intended to ensure the health of their users and compliance with the legislation that applies to them in each case. Inspection actions may be scheduled and unscheduled. The first ones are carried out according to the different action programs that, on an annual basis, the Madrid City Council approves. The inspections are carried out, in a coordinated manner, by the inspection services of the 21 Districts and Madrid Salud. The establishments inspected correspond to the activities set out in the annual action programmes, which are: Program of control of aesthetic establishments and gyms. It includes the activities of: tattoo, piercing and micropigmentation centers, tanning centers, hairdressers, beauty institutes, beauty centers, photoepilation centers and gyms. Programme for the control of children's centres. It includes the activities of: first-cycle nursery schools, childcare centres, recreation centres and children's parties. Recreational water facilities control programme. It includes the activities of: swimming pools, both publicly and privately owned, swimming pools of neighboring communities and urban spas. The facilities can be seasonal or air-conditioned. Spas and urban spas are facilities with hydromassage glasses with recirculation of water and with jets of air and water.
