Municipal parking for residents. Areas of influence

Madrid City Council owns a very wide network of public car parks for residents and mixed car parks (rotation/residents), through which it makes available to Madrid residents a total of almost ninety-nine thousand underground parking spaces. These car parks are managed, for the most part, by different companies under indirect management through the corresponding service concession contract, although sixteen of them are subject to direct management by the City Council, through the Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid, S.A. The use of these spaces can be accessed by natural persons who, having a vehicle, actually reside and are registered in the area of influence established for each car park, as well as, in some specific cases, traders in the area or legal persons who have work centers in these areas of influence.
