Mupis and informative columns

With the aim of providing information of all kinds to citizens in an agile and attractive way, valuing the aesthetics and occupation of the public road, the City of Madrid installed on the public road 910 mupis and 164 columns aimed at offering information of general interest of cultural, municipal and service type, in order to contribute to the dissemination of information in the most satisfactory and highest quality for users, in accordance with the modernization, requirement of precision and updating of those increasingly demanded by citizens. One of the important functions that the mupis have, in addition to informing about cultural and social activities, is to provide information about the public and street transport system that are very useful for the citizens and visitors of our city. Likewise, the location of these elements of urban furniture with advertising is carried out under strict control in matters of accessibility, urban landscape and occupation of public roads, so they are perfectly integrated into the urban landscape of the city. The mupis and informative columns are preserved and maintained by the Public Service Management contract, modality of concession of informative municipal urban furniture and other services. The concessionaire company is Clear Channel S.L.U. The installation, conservation and maintenance of these elements does not imply any cost for the City Council and its financing is carried out through the advertising exploitation by the successful bidder. We hope that they provide a good service to their users, and these elements are valued and respected at the disposal of all people.
