In the City of Madrid there are several facilities for sports that are municipally owned. Mainly there are: the Municipal Sports Centers (Polideportivos) that exist of the order of 70 currently, distributed by the different neighborhoods, and in which you can practice different sports and the Basic Facilities, which exist in the order of 475. The latter are usually for free use and for the practice of a sport (for example, a football court or basketball).
