Dataset description

Information on active loans in public libraries in the city of Madrid, i.e. copies borrowed. The information provided is based on a number of fixed dates. This data set is presented for statistical purposes or for studies and research, not to give real-time information on loans. Monthly information is provided. The following considerations should be taken into account: from October 2014 to October 2017: data on active loans of libraries managed by the Madrid City Council from December 2017 to the current month: data on active loans from public libraries in the city of Madrid November 2017: not available due to the technical work of unifying the public library management system in Madrid in April and May 2020, no face-to-face loans have been registered due to the interruption of the service due to the state of alarm due to the COVID-19 health crisis. The first field of the active loan file corresponds to its barcode. With this code, you can obtain all the associated information in another set of data that is the Catalogue of public libraries of the city of Madrid, also available on the portal. In the “ section Associated documentation ” you can find the “Active Loan File Structure” document, which contains the information needed to interpret this dataset. Also included are auxiliary tables for encoding media, libraries, copies, readers, etc. for correct decoding. Through the Visualization Portal ' Visualize Madrid with Open Data', the City Council of Madrid puts at your disposal a visualization made with open data from Libraries. Access the visualization of Public Libraries of the city of Madrid. Loans made in the last year.

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
