Traffic fines: detail

In this data set, all the traffic fines that the Madrid City Council processes each month are incorporated, with all the possible detail on each of them that data protection legislation allows. This includes information on the offence committed, its seriousness or the place where it was reported. The information conforms to the data existing at the time of publication, and does not prejudge the final result of the processing of the penalty proceedings, as a result of complaints and / or remedies of the people denounced. For data protection reasons, there are a number of infringements that have been grouped together, indicating only the number and total amount of all infringements. Percentage, it's a tiny number. It is recalled that it is expressly forbidden to carry out tasks of personal re-identification of the information. The information provided is that held in the information systems of the City Council, at the time of extraction, with which there may be some infraction that had not yet been mechanized at that time , which does not mean that it does not exist. This number of infractions, if any, would be minimal. In these detail files, complaints that contain an error and those that have been annulled are not counted. The field 'impor_bol' is the amount of the penalty provided for the infringement. It will be reduced by 50% if the fine is paid within the time period established in the Road Safety Law and does not necessarily correspond to the one that will be effectively collected. There is another set of fines data available on the portal, with additional information and containing monthly statistics of amounts collected voluntarily and amounts transferred to enforcement (the latter data does not imply that that amount has been collected in enforcement). It also has in the Portal different data sets of budgets, with forecasts of annual collection and with the monthly execution of that forecast. Important: The information provided presents a decalaje of three months with respect to the month in which the download occurs. This delay is necessary for the consolidation of information from different sources. The files, as of March 2016 (included), present two additional columns, as an improvement of the information, with fields that facilitate georeferencing (X-coordinate; Y-coordinate, in reference system ETRS89). As a first step, these fields include details of fines issued by: Exceed a red-phase traffic light. Not respecting the signs on a restricted or reserved road. Access Madrid Central without authorization. In successive phases, the coordinate information will be progressively expanded.
