Since 2001, the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority has sampled a mixed diet, in the form of a combined sample of all food served to a patient in a hospital for 24 hours. In the current program, diets from 3 hospital kitchens are sampled twice a year, measured for caesium-137 and strontium-90. Levels in mixed diets are also reported to the EU in accordance with the Euratom Treaty. Data from 2001 for these measurements are available at the request of the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority. The map shows the geographical location of the sampling stations (hospitals).
