Dataset description

This data set contains real-time forecast data from the last two runs of SNOW, the Swedish National Operational Weather forecast. SNOW, the Swedish National Operational Weather Forecast, is a forecast database that is quality controlled by a meteorologist. The database consists of forecast values placed in a grid (field). Each parameter has a value in each grid point and at each specific time point. The distance between the grid points is about 2.5 km. The time resolution of the information in SNOW is gradually dispersed. For the first days there is data for each hour, then there is data for every three hours, then every six hours and for the last days in the database the time resolution is 12 hours. SNOW is created by the meteorologist selecting data from a number of forecast models and using methods for post-processing. The final product, SNOW's data set, contains forecast data for at least 240 and up to 251 hours to always cover ten days. SNOW is updated every 15 minutes. Through this download service, you get files that contain all parameters for the entire geographical area and all heights, for the current time step. DELIVERY In this service, you can download files with real-time data via the web service for a delivery fee. The files should be saved before further use. Send an email to customerservice@smhi.se to place an order. COORDINATS: Coordinates for the area are given by the corners: South-West 50.32 0.28 Northwest 72.76 -18.12 North-East 71.58 54.24 South-East 49.77 33.03 The grids are about 2.5 km. USE: At SMHI, SNOW is used as a basis for forecasts to both the general public and commercial customers. The weather forecasts on smhi.se and the smhi weather app are based on information from SNOW. FORMAT: Data is delivered in GRIB format. Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
