Estonian Topographic Database - Land Cover

The land cover spatial data set of the Estonian Topographic Database (ETAK) consists of the land parcels of the group of the ETAK reality model "Sands", which are not mapped as overlapping, and the water bodies depicted as the surface of the group of "Water bodies and hydrographical structures". Types of land cover are divided into: "arable land" means a field and horticultural land; "cereals" means a sloping area, a sandy area, grassland, other ceilings; wetlands - fen, bog, wish, hollow; woody vegetation - forest and shrubs; "parking water bodies" means lakes, impounded lakes, floodplains, artificial lakes, ponds, ponds and other standing water bodies; watercourses; sea; "peat fields" means abandoned peat fields and peat fields; yards - private yards, production yards; road areas; other land parcels - green area, wasteland. The basis for the establishment and maintenance of the Estonian Topographic Database is the "Statutes of the Estonian Topographic Database" and the "Procedure for the acquisition of topographical data and topographical phenomena of general significance". The main sources of data are: data obtained by aerial imaging and laser scanning, or derivatives thereof, including orthophotographs; data transmitted by holders of information in the course of data exchange; data from surveys carried out by the controller; data from other surveys and surveys, including public databases and other sources.
